Covid-19 and how we are keeping our cars/lessons Covid secure

Hi All

Hope all is well with you and your families and everyone is coping with the lockdown.

Just a few words about how we have been operating before lockdown and also how we will be operating for the foreseeable future;

• Our driving instructors will be wearing face masks whilst carrying out all driving lessons, we ask all of our students to also wear a face mask unless you have a medical note which states that you are exempt.
• We will ensure that all interior and exterior door handles, steering wheels, gearstick’s and handbrakes and any other high touch point areas are thoroughly wiped down with anti bacterial wipes before and after each driving lesson.
• Each driving instructor will have a hand sanitiser in the car for your use before and after each driving lesson.
• We ask you to understand that a 2 metre distance will not be possible whilst receiving your driving lesson and also understand the risk associated with this although all measures will be put in place to minimise any risk. The driving lessons will be given with the windows partly open or fully open dependant on the weather.
• We ask all of our students to ensure thorough hand washing has taken place before and after each driving lesson.
• Our driving instructors will agree that they have no symptoms of COVID-19 before each lesson. We would ask all our students to do the same and there will be a form for our driving instructors and the students to sign before each driving lesson takes please.
• Your driving instructor will confirm that he/she has not been contacted by trace and trace before each driving lesson and we ask our students to also confirm this.
• We ask all students to bring as little as possible to your driving lessons if you need to bring any bags for Collage/Uni you will be asked to put these in the boot of the car.

We take the health of our instructors and pupils very seriously and that is why these measures are in place to protect everyone during all driving lessons at U Drive Driver Training.

We hope that you are keeping safe, practicing your online theory tests (if applicable by using this link) and we can’t wait to be back doing what we do best.

If in the meantime you have any questions or queries you would like me to answer please contact me via the above number.

Thank you for your patience and supporting your local driving school, it means a lot.

We hope to see you soon

Ben & all the U Drive Team
