‘Show me, tell me’
Vehicle Safety Questions

On your driving test you will be asked 2 vehicle safety questions.

One ‘tell me’ question will be at the beginning of your test, before you start driving. You will be asked to explain how you would carry out a safety task.

One ‘show me’ question. This would be asked whilst you are driving. You will be expected to show the examiner how you would carry out a safety task.

If you get one or both questions wrong, you will receive one driving fault (sometimes called a minor).

If when answering the ‘show me’ question, your driving becomes dangerous, or potentially dangerous you will unfortunately fail your test.
